SHOCK NEW:

www.braziliantopteam.com

WEST VIRGINIA:

The largest BJJ & Submission Wrestling Tournament in West Virginia returns December 9th at the YWCA in Parkersburg, WV.
Already coming off very successful tournament this year ABKJ presents the "Battle of the Champions."

This tournament will again feature a double elimination format, meaning that each competitor will compete a minimum of four times (if he or she does both gi and no gi). There will be kids, teens, women's and men's divisions along with special divisions or super-fight divisions.

There will also be tremendous price breaks and opportunities for everyone. All women and children will compete for only 15$ and we will also offer a "gas allowance" for those who have to travel very far. This means if you or your team are traveling a great distance, we will lower your admission price in order to make it more convenient for you to travel and compete (email for more details).

As an added feature to the tournament we will have additional divisions or Super-Fights" for the "Battle of the Champions".

This unique format will offer the placing competitors of the past tournaments to battle in a separate division for a true champion of that division and a title belt. We hope that this added feature offers more incentive for competitors to try and place 1-3 in future tournaments. We also think this format will be very exciting for the fans.

All event details and divisions are placed on the website. We encourage everyone to pre-register as we assume this will be a big event. We hope to see you there!

Carlson Gracie, tutorWith thirst for victory and lots of knowledge, Carlson dominates the milieu of competitive Jiu-Jitsu for thirty years
Carlson leaves Gracie academy in the mid 1960s. From then on, his compass is instinct alone. As a first measure, the radical reduction of the number of private lessons and the institution of group classes, which take up a much smaller parcel of his day. How to manage the time that’s now free? Well, living. To help out in trainings in his own academy or to spend time on his love life? To work as a football referee or to bet on underdog roosters? To make a mess out of competitions or to tell stories in circles of friends? All of the above. And all others that didn’t imply any real commitment. All would have to be done for pleasure. Even better if there was competition involved, or a game of any sort.

Born in Natal, where he did his own team, the NCT (Natal Combat Team), the black belt Fernando Tererê got his second victory since he came back to the mats. Tererê didn't fight since the accident in 2004, when he went to jail in United States after fighting with some people during a flight to Brazil.
His first victory after this time was at the last stage of the BJJ Championship of Rio Grande do Norte. And now Tererê just got his second title at the Areia Branca Cup, that was held on last October 14th. Tererê won the absolute light brown and black belt.
